for Non-Potable Water Applications
CPVC Piping System is used for non-potable indoor water applications for commercial
and residential construction. It is manufactured using the highest quality CPVC
compound along with a purple pigment (purple is the universally accepted color for
non-potable water systems).
ReUze® is marked with two lines of type clearly identifying the contents as "WARNING:
NON-POTABLE WATER. DO NOT DRINK". The type is 180° apart so that no matter what
angle you view the piping system there can be no mistake that the pipe is carrying
non-potable water. This is extremely important in ensuring that water lines fit
for human consumption are not crossed with non-potable water lines.

ASTM Dimensions and Tolerances
ReUze® is used in non-potable water systems and is manufactured to the
dimensions and specifications shown in ASTM D 2846. This product is purple in color,
and the pipe has the same outside diameter as copper tubing. Pipe up through nominal
size 2” size is manufactured to a standard dimension ratio (SDR) of 11. The standard
dimension ratio represents the ratio of the pipe O.D. to the pipe wall thickness.
All of the SDR 11 CPVC sizes have the same pressure rating.
